Tax Credit for Small Business (Having severed on the economic assistance coordinating council where most tax credits go to large corporations, Elmer supports changing requirements to make it easier for small business to access the same level of support and tax credits. This will allow business to stay in district by access to reduced tax rates.

Last year State Representatives all over the state voted themselves a Raise what if this next year we ask them to give back $10,000 each towards road repairs? That is 160 members so that would give 1.6 Million dollars..

Grants and Tax Incentives for Owner Occupied Housing in Fitchburg

Capping Housing Tax so seniors can stay in their homes.


Utilities

  • Municipal Lighting Authorities: (Amendment by Senator Dean Tran)

“Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Department of Public Utilities in consultation with the Department of Energy Resources shall develop a plan to facilitate the authorization and regulation of the creation of a new municipal light district in municipalities that choose to undertake such action. The plan shall include but not limited to the acquisition or creation of the necessary infrastructure and mechanisms to acquire and deliver electricity to customers within the district. Said plan shall be submitted to the clerks of the House and Senate and the Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities, and Energy by December 31, 2018.”
